Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Balanced Rock at the Arches National Park, Utah. Light painting is a technique that I enjoy doing when I get the chance. It takes two people, one to operate the cameras and one to operate the large flashlight used to paint the light onto the object. These are very impressive when printed on metal.
